Yosemite is a sacred place for many Californians. The iconic images of the valley, first immortalized by Ansel Adams, have since been visited, photographed, or recreated in one way or another millions, if not billions, of times. This piece aims to portray that iconic valley in a way that no one has seen it before, though. I imagine what Yosemite would look like if the important ideas and work to protect it were not respected or upheld. I imagine what it would look like if our democracy were to completely erode and the land was instead used for corporate expansion, development, and greed.
